LABOR infrastructure spokesman Anthony Albanese will on Tuesday (7 May) launch his party’s maritime policy.
The launch is to be hosted by Maritime Industry Australia at the Australian National Maritime Museum at 10.30am.
A MIAL spokesperson said they approached both the Coalition and ALP before the election being called to present their maritime policies.
“This is not a political fundraising event,” the spokesperson said.
Those interested in attending should contact MIAL before 5pm Monday 6 May.
Mr Albanese used a similar event in Melbourne back in 2010 to launch Labor’s shipping platform, a set of laws that form the basis of the current national shipping laws. The election is to be held on Saturday May 18.
