FORMER defence minister Christopher Pyne has been confirmed as a speaker for the Modern Maritime conference in Sydney on 8-10 October.

The event is being organised by Maritime Industry Australia.

MIAL chief executive Teresa Lloyd said the presence of Mr Pyne would boost the conference.

“This is a unique opportunity where we can learn about the experiences of the former Defence Minister in a candid environment,” Ms Lloyd said.
