DRY bulk shipping company Oldendorff Carriers has been announced as the new full member of Shipping Australia.

Based in Germany, Oldendorff runs about 700 ships with total capacity of 60m dead weight tonnes.

Oldendorff director Ben Harper said joining SAL cemented their commitment to the Australian shipping landscape.

“As a global ship owner and operator, we are looking forward to sharing our vision and adding value to the Australian industry as well as establishing open communication channels with local companies,” Mr Harper said.

“It is our responsibility to keep abreast of not only changes in Australian ports but also in regional and national legislations.”
