ACFS Port Logistics has announced the acquisition of Kerry Logistics warehouse and transport business in Adelaide.

The relationship between both organisations was reportedly strengthened in 2017 when ACFS acquired Kerry’s MT Park business, and has now “evolved” via the recent acquisition, effective 6 July.

ACFS has core infrastructure assets in Australia that specialise in the container logistics supply chain.

ACFS chief executive and managing director Arthur Tzaneros said expansion in the Adelaide market had been a strategic focus in recent years.

“We have patiently awaited the right acquisition opportunity whilst furthering the capability of our existing operation and building a solid foundation that is capable of comfortably managing strong growth be it organic or via M&A,” Mr Tzaneros said.

ACFS chairman Terry Tzaneros said investing in growth was keen to invest despite challenging economic conditions.

“ACFS are driven to continue to invest in the right opportunities that will provide all our current and future customers a National solution that is highly capable of meeting their evolving needs,” he said. “The ACFS team look forward to transitioning the highly valued customers and staff of Kerry’s to the ACFS family and wish everyone strong growth, welfare and prosperity as we work through this unprecedented economic period.”
