Mr James spoke of the importance of regional investment.

“Qube is delighted to be supporting the region by providing a pathway to international markets and helping with the region’s future potential growth,” he said.

“Through Qube’s significant $3.65m joint venture investment, the Ultima Intermodal Terminal will deliver jobs for the Mallee and take trucks off the road.”

Mr James said two trains a week were already using the Qube Ultima Intermodal terminal to provide integrated rail solutions to the intermodal and bulk markets, and Qube hoped to expand this when more local products became available later this summer.
