TEAM Global Express has announced Stewart Smith as its new chief executive officer for the company in New Zealand.
Mr Smith joins Team Global Express with more than 30 years’ experience leading businesses.
He has worked in several omni-channel businesses, including retail companies in the UK such at Tesco, Nisa and Halfords and more recently in New Zealand at The Warehouse Group.
Team Global Express Group CEO Christine Holgate welcomed Mr Smith, saying his appointment came at a key moment in time for the company.
“We have a vision to be at the cutting-edge of the transport and logistics industry in both Aotearoa and Australia and it is critical we have the right people in all parts of our business including our leadership team to achieve our ambitions,” Ms Holgate said.
“Stewart is a dynamic, customer centric, strategic leader who has a track record of mobilising teams to deliver better customer and business outcomes. I am looking forward to seeing our team thrive and deliver success for our customers under his leadership.”
Team Global Express provides logistics services across rail, sea, air and road. The company last year rebranded from Toll Global Express.
