SERVICING customers in the Gold Coast and northern New South Wales is the aim of a new logistics hub at Arundel in the heart of the famous Queensland party town.
The $33m, purpose-built facility is on 10,250sqm of land and is designed to provide seamless and efficient delivery of services across the region.
Toll Gold Coast can reportedly process on average up to 11,000 parcels a day.
Toll Global Express president, Bruce Wilson said the Gold Coast was strategically significant being close to a fast-growing population.
“We continue to invest in Queensland to improve the speed and quality of our services to our customers,” Mr Wilson said.
“This purpose-built facility integrates our existing services into a modern logistics hub and will become the blueprint for how we run our operations across the network going forward.
“We’re proud of what we have been able to achieve in bringing our people and services together to support this key market.”
By combining freight services across different transport modes, Toll Gold Coast aims to offer an “integrated multimodal solution” with strong transport links for local customers.
Toll has completed important property investments in Queensland in recent years, including an $86m facility in Karawatha and a $19m property in Gracemere. Toll is also building a new $19m facility in the Sunshine Coast due to begin operations in 2020.
