SVITZER Australia has announced chief commercial officer Ivan Spanjic will leave the company at the end of the year.

Mr Spanjic has worked with Svitzer for around 15 years; in addition to his CCO role in Australia he is also Svitzer’s global head of green ports.

Mr Spanjic has advised the company he is moving on at the end of the year to take up “a new maritime executive opportunity” in the Middle East.

Svitzer is commencing an internal and external recruitment process to replace Mr Spanjic as CCO.

“Ivan is the embodiment of our passion for customers, and has been absolutely central to the growth and success of Svitzer in Australia – helping deepen relationships and drive the best outcomes for our customers,” Svitzer Australia managing director Videlina Georgieva said.

“He takes a true partnership approach to maritime solutions and reflects the best of our values. We wish him well for the future.”

Mr Spanjic will remain with Svitzer until the end of the year before heading East.

“On behalf of Svitzer I would like to thank Ivan for his significant contribution and wish him all the best in his new endeavour,” Ms Georgieva said.
