SVITZER tugs Waratah and Bondi are slated to appear in Sydney Cove, performing in the annual Tug and Yacht Ballet on Australia Day.

Bondi and a squadron of four yachts gave a special sneak preview today at Sydney cove to the haunting strains of Edvard Grieg’s “In the Hall of the Mountain King”.

There are two scheduled performances of the ballet, with a matinée performance running from 1205 to 1215 and an evening performance from 2000 to 2010.

During a media event showcasing some of the planned festivities Sydney is putting on for the national holiday, New South Wales minister for multiculturalism Raymond Williams said Australia Day 2019 would feature festivities across the country, and importantly in the “iconic” area next to the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.

“You will see some incredible entertainment and we will celebrate all aspects of Australia,” he said.
