DP World is building a new container park at the Port of Brisbane.

The stevedore is building the project with partners Port of Brisbane, logistics real estate specials Logos and construction firm McNab.

DP World said the new Brisbane Container Park would extend its depot service offerings already present in Sydney and Melbourne.

Once fully operational, the 10.4-hectare container park will provide storage and handling services for full and empty containers.

DP World said the new container park would employ Australia’s first high empty reefer pre-trip facilities.

DP World executive vice-president for Oceania Nicolaj Noes said the company had long recognised the importance of the Port of Brisbane in driving economic growth in Queensland and Australia.

“The Brisbane Container Park is a major milestone in our progress as an end-to-end supply chain solutions provider, expanding our footprint in the city and exemplifying our commitment to the development of Brisbane and Queensland through trade,” he said.

“With this new facility, DP World will provide customers access to a holistic suite of supply chain services that can be tailored to their specific needs as they navigate a dynamic trade landscape and look to grow within Australia and beyond.”
