CONTAINER throughput at Fremantle saw a decrease in December by most metrics, according to the latest trade statistics available from Fremantle Ports. Total containerised throughput at Fremantle came to 66,126 TEU in December – a decrease of 2% on the same month the previous year. This past December’s throughput included 33,767 TEU exported and 32,359 TEU imported.

The month’s throughput was a decrease of 9% on November’s throughput; this was driven largely by a decrease in imports, which fell 14% to 32,359 TEU. Exports also decreased – 4% to 33,767 TEU. Coastal trade in December came to 10,229 TEU (789 TEU exported and 9440 TEU imported).This content is for members only
