AUSTRALIAN Amalgamated Terminals managing director Antony Perkins has resigned to “pursue his travel goals”, with AAT general manager commercial and projects Pat Smith taking the reins, according to a post on the company’s LinkedIn profile earlier this week.

In the past year, Mr Perkins concluded AAT’s successful acquisition – including an ACCC review – of Melbourne’s ro-ro terminal, MIRRAT, now rebranded as AAT Webb Dock West.

Mr Perkins key achievements also include replacement of high-capacity cranes, the expansion of Appleton Dock operations into a bulk facility, securing long-term clients, and active negotiation for industry improvements, the company noted.

Before his appointment as AAT general manager commercial and projects, Mr Smith had a 15-year career with AAT parent company Qube, including senior commercial and operational roles. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) and Master of Commerce (Prof. Accounting).
