MELBOURNE-based technology company Argocore Pty Ltd has opened registrations for user acceptance testing of its new AI platform, Cargonautix, aimed at freight forwarders and customs brokers.
The system is scheduled for commercial release in March 2026 and is designed to provide a coordinated workflow for classification, documentation and regulatory reporting, according to the company. A limited number of industry participants will be invited to take part in the pilot programme.
Argocore says a series of global disruptions over the past six years — including port closures, tariff volatility, capacity constraints and geopolitical events — has shifted where trade and compliance risk sits in the shipment lifecycle.
The company says Cargonautix is structured to bring together multiple reporting and clearance processes into a single workflow, rather than relying on sequential, system-by-system processing.
The platform is designed to operate alongside existing freight execution systems through API connections or as part of a fully integrated end-to-end architecture. It also includes role-based access, intended to allow users to see only the functions relevant to their tasks, without requiring full module access.
Argocore says the platform is independent of financial or operational ties to any freight forwarder or logistics operator.
Its development team draws on experience from major global logistics providers, including Kuehne+Nagel, CEVA Logistics, Panalpina, Vanguard Logistics, Logwin Logistics and C.H. Robinson, alongside postgraduate researchers and enterprise software engineers.
The pilot programme is currently open to freight forwarding and customs brokerage participants in Australia, with plans for international expansion later in 2026. The system currently supports import and export cargo reporting and formal entry in regulated environments.
