MORE than 100 players are warming up for the annual Shipping and Logistics Charity Golf Day this coming Friday (24 October).
The venue is again the panoramic Long Reef Golf Club at Collaroy, and the day will begin with registration from 7am, breakfast and a shotgun start at 8am followed by lunch at 12.30pm with drinks and presentations.
Dr Geoff McCowage will be on hand with an insight on the progress and latest oncology research along with a special guest speaker which reminds us of what your donation has achieved.
This year’s field will see the total raised for childhood cancer research at The Sydney Children’s Hospital at Westmead approach $915,000 – now well in sight of the $1 million mark.
One of the golf day organisers, Claude Varnier, said the response to sponsorship had again been outstanding from all sectors of the industry and along with the other members of the committee, Lesley Eldershaw, Rob Wilson, Ben Buddo, Tony Cousins and Mark Todd would like to give a BIG SHOUT OUT to the following sponsors and supporters of the fundraiser.
