VIDEO OF THE WEEK: MSC Isabella docks at Xiamen

FOOTAGE of one of the world’s largest container ship, MSC Irabella, has been posted on YouTube.

The IIsabella (IMO 9839272) is flagged in Panama and was launched last year. It has a carrying capacity of 21,237TEU.

At 400 metres long and 61 metres wide, it is one of the most impressive box ships on the planet.

The footage shows the ship docking at the port of Xiamen in south-eastern China.

Interviews with local officials describe the planning for the arrival of the Isabella and what it means for the Asia – Europe trade.
