THE Australasian Marine Pilots Institute is presenting a webinar via Zoom about ports providing ECDIS routes and passage plans to ships as part of the pre-arrival process.
It will take place on Thursday 11 February 2021 at 19:00 AEDT (08:00 UTC) and is free for AMPI/IMPA/UKMPA/NZMPA members. Non-members are also welcome to attend.
AMPI has assembled a panel of experts who will talk about the human factors, bridge resource management and accident investigation aspects in addition to pilots who have implemented pre-arrival ECDIS routes in their own ports and the challenges that they have faced.
The webinar will also feature a technical expert from the UK Hydrographic Office to explain the technical issues around the generic RTZ format for sharing routes and upcoming improvements.
The webinar will also include an opportunity for participants to interact with the panel and ask questions.
Zoom login details will be provided to registrants 24 hours prior.
