The AAL Melbourne recently loaded two cranes and their components weighing just over 1800 metric tonnes in total in Taicang, for onward transport to Jebel Ali. The 42 metre-high main modules towered over the 31,000 dwt mega-size vessel and took-on an imposing resemblance to two Martian tripods from H.G Wells’ War of the Worlds.
