ANL/CMA CGM introduce new MD/GM

NEUSA Marcelino has taken up her new Melbourne-based role as managing director of ANL Container Line Pty Ltd and general manager of CMA CGM Oceania Agencies, after previous appointment Esra Bora needed to return to Turkey for personal reasons.

Ms Marcelino will oversee the group's activities across Oceania while leading the strategy, operations and continued development of ANL Container Line, “reinforcing CMA CGM's commitment to delivering high-quality services and long-term growth across this strategic region”.

She joins Oceania after successfully leading the Group's activities in Brazil as general manager of CMA CGM Brazil and managing director of the East Coast South America Cluster.

“Since joining the CMA CGM Group more than eleven years ago, she has held a number of leadership positions across Southern Africa and South America, gaining extensive experience in commercial management, operational excellence and customer development,” the group said in a media release.

“Throughout her career within the group, Neusa has demonstrated a strong commitment to customer excellence, people development and business growth, contributing to the expansion of CMA CGM's presence in several strategic markets.

“Her experience has given her the ability to strategically plan, through being able to effectively anticipate market dynamics and growth opportunities across a diverse set of countries. Combined with her background in customer service, she brings a strong understanding of customer needs and expectations.

“Leading ANL into its next chapter, Neusa recognises ANL Container Line’s extensive history in Australia, with 2026 marking 70 years of operations. This milestone highlights ANL as an established and trusted brand, with not only deep roots in Australia but now with a strong regional presence and a large global reach."

Her appointment reflects the CMA CGM Group's ambition to continue strengthening its presence across Oceania and to further develop customer relationships and operational performance throughout the region, it said.

Ms Marcelino’s appointment was originally announced on 25 June, following Ms Bora’s departure after just three months in charge. In turn, Ms Bora had replaced ANL veteran Shane Walden who resigned in late May. He has since been appointed CEO of wholesale forwarder AGS World Transport.
