SHANE WALDEN, managing director of ANL Container Line and CMA CGM Group Agencies Oceania, has resigned.

While there has been no official statement at time of writing well-placed sources have confirmed the highly-regarded Mr Walden lodged his resignation while at CMA CGM headquarters in Marseille this week and will now take a break while considering a next move.

He joined ANL direct from completing his degree at Monash University in 1999 and progressed through various positions: regional manager Asia (Hong Kong) 2006-2010, commercial manager, South East Asia, 2010-2012 (Melbourne), commercial manager, North & East Asia, 2012-2014 (Melbourne), general manager commercial, east-west trades, 2014-2019 (Melbourne), deputy managing director, 2018-2020 and managing director from 2020, following the recall of Xavier Eiglier to France.

With the immediacy of the news there’s been no information about a replacement.
