CTAA container safety campaign continues

CONTAINER safety will be at the forefront of a specialised session organised by the Container Transport Alliance Australia. 

The webinar is a week away, Thursday 30 October from 1-2pm ADST, and is free to virtual attendees – but registration is necessary and must be completed by Monday [27 October]. 

CTAA says the webinar will provide important updates on regulatory changes impacting safe container loading and transport, as well as the latest advice on load restraint, safe container loading / unloading practices, and weight declaration. 

The line-up of expert speakers comprises: 

• Aaron Louws, Supply Chain Technical Specialist, CoRsafe (NTI): 
  Understanding the new NHVR Chain of Responsibility Master Code and impending amendments to the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL): What's changing, how are all parties in the container logistics chain impacted, and how to prepare? 
• Trent Firth, Managing Director, X-Pak Global: 
  Latest advice on cargo loading and load restraint inside shipping containers - Survey results on pain points for shippers, forwarders and transport operators on safe container loading, restraint and declaration. 
• Augusto De Bacco, Managing Director, Top Crew Solutions:
  Latest information and advice on ensuring that your container pack / unpack processes are safe, efficient and productive: What we’ve learnt from practical experience. 

CTAA director Neil Chambers says the Alliance is looking to refresh this face-to-face seminar series in 2026 to encourage a consistent dialogue on the latest safety regulations, compliance tools and best practice regarding shipping container packing, load restraint, weight declaration and transport.
