THE Australian Cruise Association has announced new dates for the 2021 annual industry conference.

Further to the extension of the lock-down in NSW, the ACA has taken the decision to move the conference to 10-12 November 2021. The event will still be held in Townsville.

Australian Cruise Association is the co-operative marketing brand for cruise tourism in the Australia and Pacific region and represents a diversity of interests including regional ports, international, national and state tourism agencies, shipping agents and inbound tour operators.

ACA chief executive Jill Abel said, “We are committed to holding our conference so that we can keep the conversations and energy going around planning for the cruise re-start.

“We felt these new dates gave us more certainty around being able to hold the event this year and also provide enough time for our speakers and attendees to change their travel plans.”

To date, the line-up of keynote speakers includes Gavin Smith (Royal Caribbean International), Sture Myrmell (Carnival Australia), Stuart Allison (Princess Cruises), Adele Labine-Romain (Deloitte Access Economics) and Dr Ian Norton (Respond Global).

They will be joined by other industry experts who will round out the two-day program to be held at the Ville Resort-Casino, Townsville.

Delegates who have registered and booked their accommodation will be automatically moved to the new dates. Registration remains open at www.australiancruiseassociation.com/conferences

The discounted early bird rate starting at $400 per attendee has been extended to 30 September 2021.
