IN line with government advice, the Customs Brokers and Forwarders Council of Australia has issued an update on its plans for upcoming industry events.

“The health and well being of our CBFCA members is our top priority,” the organisation’s CEO Paul Damkjaer said in the statement.

“To help slow the spread of COVID-19, the Australian Government has banned all non-essential gatherings of more than 100 people indoors and 500 people outdoors, effective from Wednesday 18 March for a minimum six-month period.

“In line with this official health advise, the CBFCA has decided to cancel all upcoming Regional Forums effective immediately.

“At present, we are working with all of our forum presenters in the hope of offering as many of these sessions as possible via webinar at a reduced cost,” he said.
