THE SUEZ Canal Authority (SCA) has released footage of the salvage works to refloat the Ever Given in the Suez Canal.

A statement from Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM), the technical manager of Ever Given, said yesterday that it is working closely with the SCA and Smit Salvage to refloat the vessel.

BSM said the specialist tug ALP Guard arrived at the scene, joining 11 tugs already onsite. The SCA has deployed the cutter suction dredger Mashhour (IMO 9111448).

Additionally, BSM said soil experts have attended the site alongside officials from the SCA to advise on continuing recovery efforts.

Also, an additional dredger, the hopper dredger THSD Causeway, is also en-route to the scene to provide additional dredging capacity. The vessel is anticipated to arrive by 30 March.
