PATRICK Terminals has completed its biggest single container exchange ever at its Melbourne terminal.
It exchanged 11,000 TEUs from the Conti Annapurna at the East Swanson Dock in a single visit.
In a LinkedIn post Patrick said its capability to handle significant container volumes in a single call reflects both the capacity of Swanson Dock and its investment in infrastructure to support larger vessels that call at the Port of Melbourne.
The achievement showed Patrick’s ability to accommodate next-generation vessels at the Swans Dock and the terminal team’s capability in executing complex logistics at scale.
Patrick Terminals operates at four ports around Australia, at Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Fremantle.
It has more than four kilometres of quay line with 25 cranes and more than 130 straddles.
