A FEDERAL Court hearing on whether to wind up beleaguered ACFS Port Logistics has been adjourned for a month.

The matter was brought before the court by the Australian Tax Office but was adjourned at the request of other creditors.

DCN has sought comment from creditors.

Media reports this week suggested ACFS Port Logistics was facing an estimated $112 million in trade creditor claims and a $76 million ATO claim.

ACFS clients include powerhouses of Australian business including Coles, Wesfarmers and Bunnings.

Coles declined to comment this week when approached by DCN, however sources close to the company indicated operations were continuing as per normal, but they were monitoring the situation.

Co-founder Terry Tzaneros remains company chief executive, his son Arthur Tzaneros having resigned over comments relating to a scandal involving students at Scots College in Sydney.

Arthur Tzaneros has argued that the business remains sound and has a bright future.

As reported by DCN, several parties have expressed an interest in buying ACFS Port Logistics in the event the administrators seek to sell the business.
