CLASSIFICATION society DNV has awarded an Approval in Principle (AiP) to shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) for a “fuel ready” (ammonia, D, S, Ti) class notation for their 300,000 dwt LNG fuelled very large crude carrier (VLCC) design.
