BRISBANE Marine Pilots held their annual industry drinks recently at the Port Office Hotel Colonial Bar in Brisbane CBD.
The event is an annual “thank you” to their port partners.
This year, staff decided to donate the value of their Christmas gifts to the Mission to Seafarers.
“We were very happy to again support the Brisbane Mission to Seafarers in all that they do for visiting seafarers with this $5,000 donation,” a BMP spokesperson said.
On behalf of the staff of BMP, managing director Peter Liley presented a cheque to the Mission to help with its Christmas Gift Appeal.
Throughout the month of December, hundreds of gift bags were handed out to visiting seafarers, bringing much-needed Christmas cheer.
