Christmas cheer for SAL Victoria lunch

THE MARITIME industry gathered at the RACV Club in Melbourne for the Shipping Australia Victoria branch Christmas function.

After a busy year, it was a great way to unwind and discuss all that had happened and what was going to occur in the New Year.

Guests enjoyed an excellent choice of cuisine including steak and chicken.

Former Sale of the Century host Glenn Ridge was guest speaker, and he kept his guests enthralled with stories about his time at the helm of Australia’s (then) favourite game show, as well and his career in television and his interest in racing cars.

The event also saw the announcement of VICT chief commercial officer Olga Coelho Heubert as SAL Victoria state committee chair for 2026.
