Conference held in Townsville

PORTS Australia has held its Australian Ports Business and Operations Conference in Townsville, North Queensland.

The event was held at Rydges Southbank.

Day one featured presentations from Queensland transport minister Mark Bailey, climate change analyst Simon Mortensen and Drew Penny from the Port of Townsville among others.

Presentations continued on day two on such themes as pilotage and low sulphur fuel.

Delegates also enjoyed a tour of Townsville Port before the formalities began.

There was time for networking as well as drinks and dinner in the evening.
