A TANKER has been arrested in Port Phillip Bay following the execution of an arrest warrant by the Federal Admiralty Marshal. MV Diamond T (IMO 9499371) was arrested on 22 November following an earlier application and writ lodged by VIVA Energy. The case is set for a Federal Court hearing before Justice O’Callaghan on 28 November, with commercial law firm Ashurst Australia representing VIVA and maritime lawyers HFW representing the shipowners.

The MarineTraffic website shows Diamond T as being anchored off Portarlington on the Bellarine Peninsula. Diamond T is flagged in Panama and was built in 2011.
