IMO’s 2030 carbon intensity targets achievable say analysts

RESEARCH and advisory firm Wood Mackenzie’s latest report reveals that the International Maritime Organization’s 2030 carbon intensity target can be achieved with the adoption of amendments. These include the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) and Energy Efficiency Design Index for existing ships (EEXI) amendments at the Marine Environment Protection Committee 76 in June this year.
