NORTH P&I Club says it has strengthened its loss prevention team in the Asia Pacific with the addition of master mariner Andrew Glen to its Singapore office. Mr Glen comes to Singapore from North’s UK head office and joined North back in 2006, spending seven years in loss prevention. Returning to loss prevention, his role now is to focus on working with North’s membership in China, Japan and South Korea. He joins Aniruddha Desai who has been with North’s loss prevention team in Singapore for almost four years. North P&I Singapore director James Moran said the relocation of Andrew Glen underpinned their commitment to regional loss prevention support. “His skills and experience complement those of Aniruddha Desai,” Mr Moran said. “Between them, they have spent a combined 34 years at sea and will bring together their knowledge and expertise to successfully deliver our loss prevention initiatives for Members in the region.” According to North P&I, Asia Pacific accounts for 36% of North's total entered tonnage of 195m gross tonnes.
