OUT & ABOUT: Border and Biosecurity event held in Melbourne

INDUSTRY figures have gathered at the Hyatt Place, Essendon Fields, for the Border and Biosecurity Compliance Program.

The event attracted speakers from Australian Border Force, Department of Agriculture as well as lawyers, industry experts and insurance brokers.

The session was also an opportunity for networking.

One topic that came up for particular discussion was brown marmorated stink bug, the critter that caused severe disruption within shipping during the just-finished 2018/19 season.

There was also analysis of international free trade agreements.

The Border and Biosecurity Compliance Program was organised by the Freight and Trade Alliance.
