INDUSTRY body the Supply Chain & Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA) has announced it is changing its name.
Henceforth, this august body is to be known as the Australasian Supply Chain & Logistics Association or ‘ASCLA’.
What triggered the change?
“Our new name reflects a bold vision: to unite and grow the supply chain and logistics community across Australasia and beyond,” ASCLA said in an emailed statement.
“With the acquisition of Supply Chain Partners (SCP) in 2024, ASCLA unites two respected industry leaders under one powerful banner.”
ASCLA has emphasised a vision beyond Australia’s borders.
“From our strong foundations in Australia to our expansion into New Zealand and Southeast Asia and with the global reach of SCP, we’ve created an unmatched network that expands our reach, strengthens our capabilities, and connects supply chain professionals across industries, regions, and markets like never before,” it stated.
“Together, we’re opening the door to innovation and global opportunities, connecting today’s supply chain to tomorrow’s possibilities.”
SCLAA/ASCLA seek to connect supply chain professionals and partners to growth opportunities and to support the advancement of the logistics sector by championing collaboration, innovation and success.
Its state divisions are NSW, SNSW/ACT, SA/NT, Western Australia, Queensland and Victoria/Tasmania.
A New Zealand branch was officially launched this week with an event at the Hilton Auckland.
