Sustainability and productivity discussed at supply chain summit

DELEGATES gathered at Doltone House in Sydney CBD for the Australian Logistics Council Supply Chain Summit. 

The event attracted senior politicians, industry experts and prominent business managers, all keen to discuss trends in such areas as safety, efficiency and technology. 

Federal transport minister Catherine King used the occasion to announce a new National Freight Strategy while Opposition transport spokesperson Bridget McKenzie talked energy and the need for boldness in government. 

The event included several interesting panel session discussions including on getting more freight onto rail, benefitting overall supply chain efficiency. 

Guests enjoyed many opportunities for networking and discussion over lunch and then in the evening with a drinks’ session and later a gala dinner. 

The dinner included the presentation of awards to people and businesses that have contributed much to the industry.
