OIL tanker Diamond T is back sailing the high seas after being released from arrest earlier this week. On Friday afternoon last week, two Australian Border Force officers acting as marshals arrested the ship at the outer anchorage in Port Phillip Bay. This was in response to the VIVA energy claiming damages in the amount of US$721,562 for losses suffered due to contamination of cargo of refined fuel oils.

However, court documents seen by DCN confirm the ship was released from arrest on Monday.

At the time of publication, Diamond T was south of Cape Otway and sailing west.
