HELPING customers move critical and sensitive AI infrastructure is the aim of AI Tech, a new service announced by Emirates SkyCargo.
Tailored for AI server racks, semiconductors, GPUs, capital equipment and other critical hardware infrastructure, the product combines priority loading, specialised handling and proactive shipment monitoring via the company’s base in Dubai.
Emirates SkyCargo said transporting technology equipment had become increasingly complex as computing and processing systems around the world grew more sophisticated.
Large-scale deployments often involve high-value cargo, compressed timelines and specialised handling requirements.
Emirates SkyCargo division senior vice president Badr Abbas said behind every AI breakthrough was physical infrastructure that needed to arrive safely and on time.
“AI Tech is designed to give customers confidence that their critical equipment will move seamlessly across our network, supported by operational oversight and proactive communication,” Mr Abbas said.
“In July [2026] alone, we transported more than 700 tonnes of AI infrastructure across our global network and demand has continued to grow. As this sector expands, our ambition is to become the carrier of choice for companies operating across the AI ecosystem.”
Features of Emirates SkyCargo’s AI Tech include:
- Globally standardised dedicated handling procedures.
- Priority loading and scheduling for time-critical deployments.
- Airport-to-airport shipment visibility, with milestone updates monitored through Emirates SkyCargo's command centre in Dubai.
- Proactive customer communication and coordination throughout the shipment journey.
- Specialist project cargo support for oversized and heavy cargo.
Emirates SkyCargo has drawn on its experience transporting AI-related hardware across its network to develop AI Tech.
AI Tech is available across Emirates SkyCargo's global network for most AI-related cargo, including semiconductors, chips and server racks.
For highly specialised manufacturing equipment, station capability assessments are conducted in advance to ensure shipment requirements can be safely accommodated, according to Emirates.
