Global logistics business acquires an air cargo operation

FREIGHT forwarding and logistics chain specialist Ligentia Group has announced the acquisition of Air & Cargo Services Ltd. The deal sees Ligentia provide a home to Air & Cargo Services’ employees while delivering continuity of service to customers. The integration is also aimed at strengthening Ligentia’s UK footprint and its position in the global freight forwarding community. The purchase is to see Ligentia's global network grow to 70+ offices, employing more than 450 staff and generating annual revenues of £160m (AU$280m) in 2019.

Ligentia chief customer officer Dan Gill said the deal supported a focus on offering technology-led freight forwarding solutions to customers around the world. “We will be rapidly integrating knowledge and capabilities to continue to deliver as a trusted partner to both our long-term and new customers,” Mr Gill said.
