HFW boosts admiralty team with new appointment

INTERNATIONAL maritime law firm HFW has boosted its admiralty and crisis management team with the hiring of Victor Fenwick. Mr Fenwick joins HFW’s London office from Ince & Co, where he was a partner and deputy head of the firm’s admiralty business group. HFW global admiralty and crisis management head Andrew Chamberlain welcomed the announcement. “I am thrilled to welcome Victor to HFW,” Mr Chamberlain said. “He is a hugely experienced and highly respected figure in the industry, with expertise in several key markets for our practice, including Scandinavia and Japan. Victor is a valuable addition that further strengthens our global team and underlines our continued and longstanding commitment to the maritime industry.” Victor Fenwick has more than 25 years’ of experience handling marine casualty claims in markets around the world. Mr Fenwick said he was delighted to be joining HFW. “They are very highly regarded in my specialist area, and I'm confident that I will be able to use my experience and skill set to complement their existing expertise,” he said. HFW says it has more than 200 shipping lawyers and 13 master mariners across 20 international offices, specialising in dry shipping, admiralty and crisis management and transactional work. The team works with a broad cross-section of industry including shipowners and charterers, P&I Clubs, banks, international agencies, shipyards, marine insurance underwriters, governments and brokers.
